The 5th-floor 'Alohilani deck has the ocean-view sunset, the cabana setup, a nightly DJ/live music rotation, and a happy hour that's actually thought-out — chef-driven small plates plus sustainable cocktails using Hawaii-distilled spirits. Fri/Sat to midnight makes it one of the later rooftop options.
Sits on the 5th-floor pool deck of 'Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach, the Highgate-operated property fronting Kuhio Beach. By day it's an infinity-pool bar with cabana rentals, water loungers, towels, Instagram-bait monument-sculpture installations. By dusk the format flips — firepits light, DJs and live local musicians take over nightly from about 6:30 to 9:30 PM, and the bar's "Earth to Cup" happy hour (4-6 PM daily) rolls out sustainability-themed cocktails developed with cocktail writer Emily Arden Wells using Kohana Kea agricole rum and Ocean Vodka. Chef Frederic Hoffmann's four-element happy-hour menu (land/sea/air/fire) is one of the more thoughtful HH builds in Waikiki.
