The pitch.

Forget the name β€” Bacchus isn't pouring Brunello. It's a tight, loud, joyful LGBTQ+ bar on Lewers where Tuesday is Mario Kart night, Wednesday is drag-plus-trivia, Thursday is Drag Race watch parties, and the first Saturday of every month turns into Boys in Briefs. Happy hour stretches all evening, the staff is welcoming whether you're a regular or visiting, and you can chain it with In Between two doors down for a perfect Lewers Street crawl.

What it actually is.

A one-room LGBTQ+ neighborhood bar β€” one of three gay bars clustered on Lewers Street with In Between and Hula's nearby. Around since 2013, currently owned by Joseph Evans, billing itself as "Waikiki's friendliest gay bar." The single small room runs a packed event calendar: Tuesday Switch gaming competitions (Mario Kart, Smash Bros) 6-10 PM with host James; Wednesday trivia plus drag with Grant and Juicy Nicole Smith 7-9 PM; Thursday RuPaul's Drag Race watch parties; and the first-Saturday "Boys in Briefs" underwear party 10 PM-2 AM. Drinks are mid-tier priced, staff knows regulars by name. 18 to enter, 21 to drink.
